Damn that got popular, Jarle - someone probably more cynical than I, might refer to the whole post about GMail as a gratutious bid for attention. Nobody (at Google) ever mailed me about a googly mail, and I have subscribed a full year to G-Alert. I thought 1 GB mail space free was a april`s fools or something like that. My girlfriends still on Yahoo, she`s finally learned to use it (sigh)... anyways, what was that I heard about 26,000 mails on one inbox again???

Terje, since I know you ARE cynical - probably more than you are willing to admit, I'll just say that yes - it was a bid for attention from people I know so that I could share the invites I keep getting from Google Mail with them.

Personally I have found gmail very useful. The anit-spam system there seems to be working swell, and its a whole new webmail experience for me - many cool and useful functions, althought it goes its own ways and require some getting used to.

testing it now, as i got other friends with invites, looks like it's almost like a virus, you invite 3, they each invite 3, them again.. gona spread like a disease, and soon, everybody will be on gmail!?

Eyezberg, I keep getting new invites I can give out - so its even more of a virus than you might think. I am guessing their beta is expanding quite rapidly right now.

it'd be really convenient to have such a big space because i always get those big emails that done mean anything and if i dont check for a day..it totally clogs up the space..
